The Pedrera |
La Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera is the work of architect Antoni Gaudí and built between 1906 and 1910. Art Nouveau. Located at number 92 Passeig de Gracia in the Eixample district of Barcelona.The building, so innovative, is a typical Gaudi's work in which only straight lines forming geometric planes are curved. All the facade is made of limestone Villafranca, except the top which is covered with white tiles, the combination evokes a snowy mountain. On the roof exits are large staircase topped with Gaudí's cross with four arms, and chimneys covered with fragments of pottery.
