The National Museum of Catalan Art, also known by its acronym MNAC, is located in the city of Barcelona. Notable for its collection of Romanesque art, it' s considered theworld's most important museum of its kind. In 2006 the museum's collection had almost 250,000 works.
In addition to temporary exhibitions and traveling, the museum also performs other functions such as the study, preservation and restoration of art works.
It was established in 1990.
