MACBA

The Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona, officially and in Catalan Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, also known by its acronym MACBA, is basically dedicated to the exhibition of works made ​​during the second half of the twentieth century. It is in the neighborhood of El Raval in Barcelona, near the Center of Contemporary Culture.The idea of ​​establishing a museum in the city of these features are due to the writer and art critic Alexandre Cirici-Pellicer who in 1959 began assembling a collection of works.
