The National Art Museum of Catalonia ( Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya), also known by its acronym MNAC, is situated in the city of Barcelona . Notable for its collection of Romanesque art it's considered the world's most important museum of its find. The current museum was formed in 1990 with the union of the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, founded in 1945, and the Museum of Catalan Art, opened in 1934.
