FUNDACIÓ JOAN MIRÓ

The Fundació Miró is in the mountain Motjuic (Barcelona). It was created in 1972 and was finished in 1975. The architect was Josep Lluís Sert. The well idea for the fundation was born in 1968 of Joan Miró wanted to make it a place that would enable trends in contempory art. It's a very big monument and it's fantastic. Has more than 10.000 pieces and works of art. He also wanted to garantee that their work would be readily accessible to the public. It's very beatiful!

PARK GÜELL

The Park Güell was made by the famous catalan architect Antoni Gaudí in 1900 and it was finished in 1914. It's in Gràcia (Barcelona), near to the Tibidabo. Is designed with diferents materials: ceramics, "trencadís"...etc. It's very well know for its salamder. It's a very big park, has more than seven teen hectares.
Eusebi Güell Antoni Gaudi because he spoke to construct a park in his name. So he agreed, he did and hence the famous name "Park Güell".
It's from the group of modernists monuments. It's very beatiful!

MACBA

The MACBA (Museu d'Art Contemporani de Barcelona) was built in the half of the 20th century. It's in Barcelona (Spain), in Raval neighborhood. It's a monument made by the North American architect Richar Meier.
It has pictures and sculptures of several famous painters in Barcelona, for example: Picasso, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Joaquín Torres-Garcia, Dau la Set...etc. It has all the walls, within and externally, of white color. Inside the building it has a few big ramps onde each one destines to a very big gallery.
I have been inside and it is very nice to seeing.

MNAC

The MNAC (National Museum of Catalan Art) was built in 1990. It's made by Eugenio Cendoya and Enric Catà and it's in the mountain Montjuïc. This one was the first National Palace and later become the MNAC. I'ts considered the best museum of catalan art. And it was inaugurated the 16 December 2004 It has collections of Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque, modern art...etc. It also has many paintings and sculptures.

CASA BATLLÓ

It's a monument made by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí. It's in Barcelona, in Passeig de Gràcia (number 43). It was founded in 1904 and finished in 1906. José Batlló Casanovas spoke with Gaudí to build a building, and Gaudí did it and save it the name of "La Casa Batlló". The facade was made by stones of Montjuïc. The building has columns and windows and everything is made with "trencadís". Antoni Gaudí loved to working his buildings with "trencadís".

LA PEDRERA

 The Casa Milà, also called La Pedrera , It's a monument of the famous architect Antoni Gaudí. It's in Barcelona, in Passeig de Gràcia (number 92) and street corner of Provença street. It was started in 1906 and was finished in 1911. It’s a very big monument. Many tourists visit it during the year. The building has many colours, for example: grey, white, yellow, brown, blue, orange, green... etc. It's very nice to see; it's beautiful. It's a very important building in the city and in the world, and so many people to see.

SAGRADA FAMILIA

La Sagrada Familia is a building made by Antoni Gaudí. He was born the 25th June, in Reus. In1883 was crated the Sagrada Familia. It’s in Barcelona, in Mallorca street, but it’s not finished. It’s a religius monument and it’s enormous. Antoni Gaudí died 1926. La Pedrera, Park Güell, Casa Batlló and other importants buildings are also made by Gaudí. Gaudí is very important person in the city.

Hello! My name is Mireia, I'm eleven years old. My birthday is in October. I was born in Barcelona. I have got a brother, his name is Toni. I like dancing and listening to music. My favourite food is spaguety, but I don't like vegetables. My favourite color is purple. My favourite sports are aerobic and ballet. In the future, I want to teach aerobics. I love dancing!
